Im looking for a portable battery operated dye sublimation printer that produces excellent quality 6 by 4 photos.
I am a photographer and at certain events I have no access to a power source. I was thinking of purchasing an olympus camedia
P-200 printer which seems to have all the features I need but found out from olympus uk that they no longer make printers or have the ribbon and paper for it. I would greatly appreciate any advice or sugesstions. thanx

I want to print out some old photo’s at work but I have a color laser printer, I understand that it uses toner cartridges instead of ink but what are its archival qualities? does it fade? is it acid free? Its a brother color laser.

I have two color/photo printers. They print amazingly crisp pictures initially then it deteriorates in a year or so. Why is that? Did the settings get screwy or is it just time to throw out?

the print cartridges need replacing. If they’re new, then it might be the printer itself.

Xerox makes a couple of good ones.
It all depends on your budget.
Before I purchased a system for my company I used an outside service until my volume increased and made the purchase practical.

refurbished laser printers:

nowadays theyre pretty cheap is it time to change? im seeing real cheap on ebay… but refurbished… i know i should cash out but im broke! how good are refurbished color laser printers sold on ebay?
ok the cheapest are HP by far i tend to have HP as the benchmark if you cant get anything better, because its a “great brand” but my laptop broke a pocketpc 2 hmm, liked my old inkjet tho, whats the quality of hp color lasers? and all color lasers vs inkjet?

Refurbished printers are good, but not all printers are equal depending on brand… especially on eBay. Look at the seller’s feedback and return policy. I have a few refurbished computer products and they act like brand new.

My office has a laser printer and I have noticed that the print qulity was slightly higher. I print out my documents only on my office printer now days, becuase it has a slight qulity incress over my inkjet at home, but i was just wondering how do I make my inkjet qulity match that of a laser printer, i have a very good qulity inkjet(one of the top qulity prints you can get), but still the text looks slighty fuzzy, I use the good qulity ink to, cannon brand. i heard sombody say that inkjets had better qulity, but he said i needed better paper, becuase i just get the sandred paper, that i use in the offices laser printer, from the office, then i just ake the paper how from there out of the laser tray, so i get free paper , but mabey i should switch papers? do inkjets require special paper? oh but i dont want somthing like photo paper, i just want the normal paper, like the standres A4 stuff but just will work better with my inkjet pehaps, man i wish i coudl just get a laser but theres so much debate over inkjet vs laser. LOL i just dont know so could yall plases just bhelp me, will inkjet ever match up to the laser pinter? for qulity. oh i need realy good print outs , with some coulro graphics to, i dont care bout cost either as i am ritch so i dont mind bout ink and paper price i just want agood qulity print for my resumee` thanks

The reason the text looks better on the laser printer is because the ink from the inkjet printer bleeds into the paper, whereas the toner from the laser printer does not.

I care about size, speed, I dont mind if it is only black ink printer.
I also hope it saves ink too.
