Question by Daisy: Which Colour Printer is best value for money?
I need a cost effective colour printer to print photographs for a playschool. I know there are a lot of very cheap printers on the market but when it comes to purchasing ink cartridges for them it can prove to be very expensive. Therefore does anyone know of one which would be long term cost effective in value you for money for the number of prints and cost of cartridges.

based on my experience, buying cheap printer will benefit only at the first time (when buying), but you will find the ink cartridge will very consume ink, of course this will break your pocket. to solve this problem you should buy midle-end printer or high-end printer, these kinds of printer are expensive enough, but when you have used you will find that the printer is very economical in consuming ink. but when you buy ink cartridges, they will be more expensive than the cheap printer because you will get cartridge with high ink capacity. but you dont have to worry because although they are expensive, the print price per page will be much more cheaper than the cheap printer. i want to share that i use canon pixma ip4000 photo printer since 1 year ago it is amazing printer i can save more money on ink. if you want to read the review of ip4000 below the link

Found colour printers in colour printers vs mono?

colour printers:
Question by xoxo gossip girl: colour printers vs mono?
how do colour printers compare with black and white in these three categories:
1. cost
2. speed (ppm)
3. quality (of printing)

assume both are laser printers

Answer by Striker
For the first one the mono printers are more affordable than the color ones.
For the second one just depends id it is color/mono laser or color/mono inkjet (The Laser printers are faster but more expensive).
For the last one color inkjet printers have the highest quality of photo prints.

I would just buy a monochrome brother laserjet printer with built in networking since their cheap and newegg has their toner(ink) really cheap.

Question by VallieValVal: How long does the toner last in the Brother HL3040CN Colour LED printer? Or any brother laser printer?
I am well aware that I need to switch from using inkjet printers to laser printers for my small business, however I do not know anything about laser printers, and this Brother HL3040CN printer seems reasonably affordable (NZ$ 319 on sale), therefore I may buy it… is this a good choice? How long do the toner cartridges last? How many of the toner cartridges are there? Thanks!

Question by king of jersey: Are there any good inkjet printers that are good for home and school use purposes?
I am looking for a color inkjet printer that is a maximum of $ 100.
Also, I am looking for one that that is cheap on ink, also a one that is efficient on ink.
I prefer a printer from Cannon or HP.
I do not want a printer that doesn’t print if yiy do not have any color ink left, or prints with color even if you choose grayscale(Black and White).

It’s well known that for business printing, black and white laser printers are more cost effective than inkjet printers. Does the same apply for colour laser printers?

That depends upon the printer.

There are some low end HP printers Such as the CLJ 1600 and 2600 which are obscenely expensive to run. You will pay about $ 350 for a set of cartridge and get about 1500 pages out of them.

However if you were to buy a HP Business Inkjet which takes 88Xl cartridges, you will spend $ 100 on a set of cartridges and get about 1000 pages out of them.

They trick is to always look at how much you are printing per month, page yeilds and consumable cost before buying a printer.

There is no rule, it is all down to being an informed consumer.

You really do need to price out the consumables. It really can go either way. If
