Question by Daisy: Which Colour Printer is best value for money?
I need a cost effective colour printer to print photographs for a playschool. I know there are a lot of very cheap printers on the market but when it comes to purchasing ink cartridges for them it can prove to be very expensive. Therefore does anyone know of one which would be long term cost effective in value you for money for the number of prints and cost of cartridges.

based on my experience, buying cheap printer will benefit only at the first time (when buying), but you will find the ink cartridge will very consume ink, of course this will break your pocket. to solve this problem you should buy midle-end printer or high-end printer, these kinds of printer are expensive enough, but when you have used you will find that the printer is very economical in consuming ink. but when you buy ink cartridges, they will be more expensive than the cheap printer because you will get cartridge with high ink capacity. but you dont have to worry because although they are expensive, the print price per page will be much more cheaper than the cheap printer. i want to share that i use canon pixma ip4000 photo printer since 1 year ago it is amazing printer i can save more money on ink. if you want to read the review of ip4000 below the link

I would like to find a monochrome laser printer that has a reasonble retail price (hopefully less than $ 450). More important, though, are the cost of supplies and how often they will need to be replaced. Is there a printer for which you can simply add toner rather than replace drums and cartridges? I would like a printer that is rated for at least 15,000 pages per month. Any suggestions and comparisons will be appreciated!

I prefer hp laser printer i am using and i have no problem
you can buy its new version hp laser jet 3055 all in one this is good. speed, performance is also good

I need to find the best possible laser color printer at the lowest possible price. I need to prints lots of documents black and white, flyers with a few photos on them, color posters and etc. So I would like to have both of best worlds and have some great photo quality and print the most pages per toner cartridges. I recently made a mistake and bought a HP photosmart 8250 and have gone through about almost $ 300 in ink, if not more (in only about 2 months). But when I think I found a good color laser printer I find horror stories from user reviews.

Can anyone help me basically find a good all around color laser printer that has full ink toner and not so expensive (like over $ 100 per toner)? As I don’t need network capability and if it has a duplexer is a bonus.

I would recommend that you should buy HP Photosmart A716 because it gives you up to 4,800 optimized dpi and lets you print from flash drives, iPods, memory cards and PictBridge enabled cameras. It prints 4 x 6 prints in under 40 seconds at about $ .29/print. The HP Photosmart A716 has a 4 GB internal memory so you can keep up to 4000 digital photos and it will print wallet size photos and pictures up to 5 x 7 inches. The HP photo printer A716 is easy to carry (lightweight and has a handle) and the picture quality is superb. It costs $ 150 and I will say this is the best compact/portable digital photo printer I ever tested!

I repair all printers and had my own repair shop, the whole time I had my shop and even today I use Canon, I still use it, it was made in 1986 it’s a HP laserjet series II printer, it has the Canon SX engine, I’m waiting for it to break down so I can strip it and rebuild it, it has never been done, you can go to the Canon web site and check them out, in the 20 years of printer repair this is the best printer on the market, you don’t have to believe me just ask HP who makes their printers, hard to beat the reliability, reasonably priced for cost of the printer and the consumables I think are a good price, I can’t answer about the service I repair them myself, but once a year have a printer tech clean and tune the printer up, it does save you money down the road, hope this helps and good luck.
